BRMail is a free full-feature online e-mail system. It has been established by BRMail as an initiative to promote wider access for BRMail users to e-mail services. It provides you with a unique, personal e-mail address which you are able to access at any time, from anywhere in the world, using any computer with a standard web browser and internet access. Simply type in the URL, http://mail.brmail.co.za, enter your username and password, and enjoy the full functionality of your own personal electronic mailbox wherever you are.
Anyone who would like an e-mail address of their own is welcome to open an account on the system.
BRMail offers 2 services: a free service and a paid service.
BRMail Free: a 10 megabyte mailbox which is free of charge, but offers no POP3 or forwarding facilities
BRMail Plus: a 75 megabyte mailbox which offers POP3 access and forwarding. The cost for a BRMail Plus mailbox is from R8,29 per month. Click here for more about BRMail Plus
No. The intention of BRMail is to provide an online e-mail service to our subscribers. We do not make our subscriber base available to outside parties.
All you need to do is click on the sign up link on the BRMail front page and complete the registration form. It's as simple as that.
BRMail Plus is an enhanced email service offering from BRMail. The differences between the two services are highlighted below:
BRMail Free:
- Free 10MB mailbox
- Advanced spam protection
- Updated fast interface
- A weekly promotional email newsletter
- Access your mail account from anywhere with a web browser
BRMail Plus:
- 75MB mailbox
- Advanced spam protection
- Access your mail account from anywhere with a web browser
- POP3 (Post Office Protocol) access from your favorite mail client (e.g. Outlook/Outlook Express, Netscape Mail)
- Email Forwarding to any other email service
- Remote POP, allowing you to retrieve email from any other email server that supports this capability
- Weekly backup of email and user account settings
- Fast local access and support
- Weekly promotional newsletter
- From R 8.29 per month (2 yr subscription)
By default you will be a Free User and it is optional to upgrade to the paid-for Plus option.
BRMail Plus users will have the option to buy the Plus option in three versions:
- 6 month (half a year) subscription @ R99.00 (R16.50 per month)
- 12 month (one year) subscription @ R149.00 (R12.42 per month)
- 24 month (two year) subscription @ R199.00 (R8.29 per month)
Payment can be done via Credit Card, bank deposit or Internet transfer. We use a secure payment gateway. If you pay by bank deposit or by Internet transfer, please be sure to fax your proof or payment with your reference number and e-mail address to 011 507 6207.
