BRMail's Fax2Email option gives you your own 0866 fax number which is linked to your BRMail address. This fax service allows you to receive faxes which are converted to e-mail messages and sent to your BRMail address.
The fax is in digital format and is attached to an e-mail message as a .TIF file. In essence it is a picture image of the fax as it was sent.
If you click on the attachment it should open automatically using the standard Windows image viewer. Should you be unable to view a fax image, you can download the freeware viewer, IrfanView. An up-to-date download link for this viewer is supplied in the e-mail containing the fax message.
There is no limit to the number of faxes you can receive and the BRMail Fax2Mail system can receive multiple concurrent faxes per number.
BRMail Fax2Email makes use of the Internet to deliver your fax and it should be e-mailed to you within 3 minutes of being received on our server. However, the speed of delivery is directly related to the size of the fax image, so the more pages and graphics it has, the longer it will take.
Calls to 0866 numbers can only be dialed from a Telkom connection and are charged at R1.90 per minute, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (CallMore time does not apply). This means you cannot receive faxes from overseas or from the GSM networks.
